This route follows typical rolling roads in the foothills of the Pyrenees and takes in the challenge of the Osmets-Luby Hill climb. The route is best run west to east as it steeply climbs and then gently descends, crossing a series of ridges that are oriented north-south. This is a main road, so can be slightly busy, but the straights crossing the valley floors give ample overtaking opportunities. It is a rural area so tractors are common.
There are distracting views towards the mountains in the south and the route passes through a couple of pretty towns with chances to stop and refuel (coffee or petrol!).
The D393 from Trie-sur-Baïse to Galan winds for 18km through classic Hautes-Pyrénées countryside - rolling hills, covered in forest with the occasional flat stretch across the valley floors. One of our go-to routes when the mountains are snow covered. Some tight corners, but no hairpins and rarely much traffic, although be aware of logging lorries and mud in the forested sections.
One of the lesser known Cols of the central Pyrénées (to visitors, anyway) but very popular with locals, cyclists and walkers. After climbing up the wooded valley road you climb to higher open mountain roads, often narrow and with the slippery evidence of passing animals, however it is quite possible to do the entire route without passing another vehicle.
The villages on the south side are pretty and the route spits you out - or begins - on the road up to the Peyresourde from Luchon.
Equally good in either direction.
This short section is built into the side of a cliff - fantastic motorcycle road, a must see.
A nice little ride for the last part of the western Cap Corse. The port of Centuri is a lovely place, perfect to stop for lunch and stuff your face with lobster. Worth the ride!
Great ride! Mixture of twisties and sweepers, through beautiful, pristine forest- hardly a car in sight. Equally beautiful approach as you descend towards the coast. Highly recommended!
Great country / mountain road- non stop corners, very remote areas, hardly any traffic at all. BEWARE of farm animals and the potentially aggressive sheepdogs! That, and the cows wandering on the roads, leaving their.. hazardous waste on blind bends- keep an eye out and enjoy the ride!

Road is quite narrow but with low traffic.
Until the turnoff to Lama: Fast sweeping A road- you can gun it as much as you like! Great road surface, great visibility all along the way

Riding from Mont de Marsan to the base of the Pyrenees with a constant view of the mountains. Nice corners and scenery.
A really nice cross country route. Hardly any traffic, lovely scenery, and great road surfaces- recommended!
Do a break after the Gorges du Cians D28 in Beuil. There's a very nice coffee shop there for a snack with a nice scenery around. Take the D30 towards Roubion. Nice and curvy mountain road in great condition with a good scenery around. After roubion the D30 changes to M30, quite scenic, narrow, and loads of bends, quite steep in some points until Saint Sauveur Sur Tinee. overall it is a great and picturesque route. Quite fun to do as well.

Turning off the autoroute at Voiron this is a beautiful run through to Chambéry wonderful scenery a few too many speed humps but highly enjoyable

A superb day's ride with coffee in Chatillon sur Seine and lunch in Dijon. The route travels through a number of beautiful villages, take care on the cobbles, has some good straight and some wonderful routes through woodland with many challenging corners. We lived to tell the tale without incident.
Got a bit lost on my ride to work this morning. Don't know how, ended up in the mountains on the twistiest little road. Tracer is so much better since I did the suspension settings following the advice on the forum.
