Great half-day ride. Mainly through green hills, then rocky mountains. The ride starts with sweeping bends but as the road gets narrower (and less travelled) the bends turn to tight corners. Views are stunning from the top of the mountain. Bcharre and Ehden on the way are great places for a lunch break. The destination, Deir el Ahmar, has an interesting church.
Great day ride. Barely any traffic on these out-of-the-way roads. If you're lucky, you'll see exotic Bedouin camps on the mountaintop up from Ouyoune el Simane, before heading back down to the Bekaa Valley. PS: this road is only open in summer.
The whole Lebanon experience: Mountains, countryside, cedar forest, lake and waterfalls. Starting through easy bends in pine forests, down some scary hairpins, up steep hills before plunging into the spectacular vineyards of the Bekaa valley; around Lebanon's biggest lake, then back through fast sweeping bends into more mountainous hairpins. You will never take so many curves in one single day! Jezzine great place to have lunch by the waterfall.
Start with California-style Metn Highway, up to Baabda- long sweeping curves. Followed by dive into the valley, through pine forests, and up again with impressive hairpins, to Mtein. Lovely medium curves up the mountain, through rocky scenery, up to Tarchiche end then Sannine. Discover spectaculat views of the Bekaa Valley under you as you plunge down long sweeping curves towards Zahle.
