From the coastal town of Kaş through rural settlements and mountainous landscapes. From sea level to 1800m
From sea level to almost 1900m in 20km/30mins.
A serious off-road ascent of the eastern flank of Babdağ, starting just off the D400 in the Xanthos Valley.
Awesome blend of high speed straights, tight bends, elevation changes on perfect tarmac in stunning scenery.
A nice route when you're coming out of a great meal you had on top of Domanic mountains if you intend to go south. Great scenery. Best at spring.
This roundtrip on the Karaburun Peninsula will provide the ride with; remote twisty narrow Mountain roads and twisty waterfront roads. The surface is not so good for higher speeds, but appropriate for sightseeing; mid to sometimes uptempos are possible. But mostly the tempo being on the moderate side. The season for this road is as its best from March to June and from September to December. July and August might be too hot. Please note the start and finis point of this route. The most benefit will be gained if you do the exact directions of the route I draw. Otherwise you will miss the scenery. There are couple of very nice corners, especially on the divided road. On this route, you may also visit some historic places such as fairy chimneys like in Cappadocia, or ancient villages. You will see the brown road signs on this route.
Road surface is not that bad, but in general road conditions in Turkey is not good, so pay attention and do not try your limits. Since there are villages around this road, you may come face to face with cows and dogs.
This road has quite nice corners and scenery.
Hopa - Borçka - Şavşat - Ardahan
This route is an excellent route. There are high mountain passes like Dolomiti region.
This trip starts feom Gebze. Large amount of trip continue on village roads. This road is not crowded. The largest warning is cow and village animals. Trip include a lot of beautiful sceneries which is villages and sea side views. Kandıra whose meatball is really delicious is a big town on route. Kefken is really tiny seaside town. So eating fish is available in there. Sweet corn is very famous in summer so i suggest. Nice trips.
yol genelde güzel. karaburuna yaklaşık 15 km kala tek şeride dar bir yol oluyor. Oldukça virajlı keyifli bir yol.
A link from Cappadocia to North Eastern Anatolia. Empty road through nice scenery.
Don't think anyone can cross to Syria nowadays, but maybe there is an option of going from Antakya south untill Yayladagi or even a few Ks more to the borders.
Pleasant riding along the Black Sea coast
its a short but very pleasant route. lots of tight and sharp corners while descending to marmaris or climbing to milas. you can also stop at midpoint to check the panorama of akyaka while descending to marmaris. the route is not long and there may be light traffic
It's all about the views!
In particular where you can see both the Aegean and Mediterranean seas split by a slither of forest and windy road, as you pass up or down the mountains, or on either descent towards Marmaris. There are some great corners that vary so much in their nature they will keep you entertained.
The route finishes in Datca - a good small harbour town, with a few nice restaurants, bars and beaches with a refreshing breeze during the hot summer months. Eski Datca (Old Datca) is very pretty with good food.
Marmaris is much larger and busier, but you should have a good night out there!
Over the past 10 years there's been a lot of construction work to improve the roads from very narrow, single carriageway with no barriers, to wide dual carriageways to Marmaris, then wider single carriageways.
As a warning there can be quite a few hazards, examples:
- crazy local driving, with overtaking very close (or in middle of) corners
- drivers cutting corners, usually ignoring lines painted on the roads
- loose donkeys, dogs, scooter riders with no helmets on most stretches towards Marmaris, then onwards to Datca
- cars or lorries tailgating bikers
- roadworks can leave a lot of loose gravel and a crazy system of cones
