Going from west to east - the beginning was more congested with morning traffic and relatively rural. Nice for starting the day out. Once you cross US 79, it gets a lot more curvy and the scenery is beautiful. I ended up turning south once I got to Mt. Storm, Maryland, which was a good place to take a break. There were a lot of bikes heading east to west the day I rode on US 50.
A really nice east-west biking route for going across the state. Great selections of corners and straights. A very good road.
I love going up Cheat Mt. Very nice and sweeping turns. Best road in this part of the state.
Some good sections on this stretch, particularly between Macomber and Aurora and beyond
