Route coming from Austria, near Stelvio heading East.
Ofenpass on the 28
Video of me riding about 18 mins worth of this road
This is a fun road, I've only rode it the once but will ain to find it again if I'm down that way.
You've really got to be on your toes and read the road well to enjoy it.
Most likely one of the best roads in Wales IMO.
Only did this the once, but jeez it was fun on the loaded RT12.
See vid as I followed my mate on hid 1050ST on this road.
Bit rough in places, but still a nice challage.
Another very nice road in this area.
Watch out for some tightening corners and the odd truck or bus taking up some of your side on these corners.
The trees smell really good as well if you into that.
Done this on a few different bikes, good fun on all of them.
This is a fun road, I did it on a fully loaded RT12, any bike going to be fun on this I reckon.
Another of my favorite roads in this area.
Race track smoothness and corners in places.
A group of us visit Vichy and ride this road at least once a year.
It can be very, very fast if you feel the need. Nice cafe in Ambert on the right as you get to the lights.
See D906/907 from Ambert as well.
This is one of my favorite short routes which can easily be incorporated into a full length ride. Leave Sherborne on the A352 (see my other routes) but turn left onto the Sturminster Newton road (A3030) shortly after leaving Sherborne. The A3030 is a great road in excellent condition with lots of fast, open corners a few villages and some very technical corners with inclines and even the odd hump back bridge / corner. Turn right at the T-Junction at the end of this road and head towards Sturminster along the A357. Continue on towards Blandford Forum. At the traffic lights turn left and follow the A350 to Shaftesbury. This is a great road. The Stourpaine bends are really good. While you are in Shaftesbury it would be rude not to try ZIG ZAG hill. See Jon Bs ride from Shaftesbury to Ringwood for more info.
Some nice views across the Cranborne Chase, and the road has some nice challages.
Zig Zag a mini Alpine road without the height.
Quite a quick bit of road 10 to 15 mins worth.
The Mill coffee shop in Wimborne is a good place to stop or start for a coffee and buns.
You could head North at Cranbourne end and do Zig Zag, I'll post that one up later...
One of my favorite routes. Very little traffic, aside from a couple of straights and one two mile straight, it's mostly twisties, and some tight ones at that.
Compton Abbass Airfeild a good place for coffee & a bun, CW a good bunch of guys at a BMW dealership, and free coffee.
keep it safe.
